Hepatitis and it's types

 Hepatitis is a medical condition that affects the liver, causing inflammation and damage to liver cells. There are several types of hepatitis, including:

1. *Hepatitis A*: Caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), this type is usually spread through contaminated food and water.

2. *Hepatitis B*: Caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV), this type is spread through bodily fluids, such as blood, semen, and vaginal fluids.

3. *Hepatitis C*: Caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV), this type is usually spread through blood-to-blood contact.

4. *Hepatitis D*: Caused by the hepatitis D virus (HDV), this type only affects people already infected with HBV.

5. *Hepatitis E*: Caused by the hepatitis E virus (HEV), this type is usually spread through contaminated water.

Symptoms of hepatitis

Symptoms of hepatitis can include:

- Fatigue

Fatigue is a feeling of constant exhaustion, burnout or lack of energy.It can be physical, mental or a combination of both. Fatigue can affect anyone – most adults experience it at some time in their life.



- Loss of appetite

Anyone can experience a loss of appetite and for many different reasons. These include medical conditions, mental health conditions, and medication side effects.



- Nausea and vomiting

Nausea is the feeling you get in your stomach before you vomit. Vomiting is when you throw up your stomach contents through your mouth. You can have nausea and vomiting together or separately



- Abdominal pain

Less serious causes of abdominal pain include constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies, lactose intolerance, food poisoning, and a stomach virus. Other, more serious, causes include appendicitis, an abdominal aortic aneurysm, a bowel blockage, cancer, and gastroesophageal reflux


-Dark Urine


-Dark urine can result from dehydration or other health conditions. Sometimes certain medications may cause your urine to darken. Dark urine is deeper in color than urine that is usually straw to yellow in color. Darker urine can be different colors, but is usually brown, deep yellow, or maroon.e stools



- Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)

Jaundice is a yellow color of the skin, mucus membranes, or eyes. The yellow coloring comes from bilirubin, a byproduct of old red blood cells. Jaundice can be a symptom of several health problems.

Treatment 

Treatment options depend on the type of hepatitis and may include antiviral medications, liver transplantation, or supportive care to manage symptoms.
