Types of clouds

Ever wondered what those different clouds in the sky mean? Here’s a quick guide: • High Clouds (20,000+ ft): Cirrus, Cirrostratus, Cirrocumulus – thin, wispy, made of ice crystals. • Middle Clouds (6,500–20,000 ft): Altostratus, Altocumulus – thicker, can block sunlight. • Low Clouds (surface to 6,500 ft): Stratus, Stratocumulus, Nimbostratus – gray, dense, can bring rain. • Cumulus & Cumulonimbus span all layers – fluffy or towering, and often signal storms. Understanding cloud types helps you predict the weather just by looking up!
